The mountains of West Virginia are blessed with an abundance of high quality trout streams. Freelance Fishing and Guide Service regularly schedules custom trout fishing trips to meet the needs of both the beginning fisherman and the seasoned pro.
I personally have over 25 years of experience as a hunting and fishing guide in the mountains and rivers of West Virginia. My staff and I have been local outdoorsmen for all of our lives and are confident that we can accommodate any level of angler and sportsman from a beginner to a professional.
Anglers and fly-fishermen will appreciate the native trout in our small, beautiful, remote streams. There are also many well known stocked fisheries where the trout are plentiful. The West Virginia DNR trout stocking program guarantees the health of our State's larger fisheries while providing excellent fishing conditions for sportsmen in recently stocked areas.
We maintain up to date trout stocking schedules and information, streamflow data and weather reports to plan the highest quality trout fishing trips available.
In a day of fishing, our guests can fish several miles of excellent trout waters that are regularly stocked with the finest of trout including rainbow, golden rainbow, brook and brown trout. Stocking begins in January and lasts throughout May, but trout are caught year round due to the consistently adequate water levels in our West Virginia streams. These expeditions begin by hiking through woods and wading streams in some of West Virginia's most scenic areas.
If you enjoy native trout, there is fishing available in a few select small streams that are sure to please. Come fish with us and you will be fishing some of West Virginia's best streams and rivers. We provide the best guides and rates available.
